Silver City Lumber, Timber and Tree Farms are a group of companies owned by the Peterson family. Lumber and timber operations are active in the states of Washington, Idaho and Montana. We employ approximately 40 full time employees throughout the Northwest.
Our lumber production consists of a remanufacturing plant in Three Forks, Montana. At this facility we re-saw, dry, plane and mould rough, green lumber and cants into finished lumber. Our product mix consists of value added and niche items such as pine boards, paneling, flooring and tongue and groove decking.
The timber side of our business harvests timber and delivers logs to major sawmills in Eastern Washington, Idaho and Western Montana. We purchase standing timber and timberlands. Our five harvesting crews range from fully mechanized, computerized machines with no men on the ground; to traditional hand falling crews. Private timberland customers benefit from our experience in harvest planning, permitting, management, marketing and clean-up. We currently manage 3,000 acres of our own timberland.
These activities are supported by our log yard located at Diamond Lake, Washington. Our log trucks, road building and land clean-up crews operate from this facility with a shop, office, truck scales, etc.
